100 Days of Stories – Day 86: TICKING

Amelia gobbles her spinach salad, washing it down with sparkling water. Barely giving her food a chance to even think about digesting, she sprints back to the office. Another client awaits.

These days Amelia rushes through her days as though she’s running out of time. It’s her gynecologist’s fault. During her annual check-up a few weeks ago, she was told that her biological clock wouldn’t tick much longer.

Amelia never thought much about being a mother. Hers wasn’t the best; she never wanted to duplicate that.

Part of her hopes time will be on her side to find out.
