100 Days of Stories – Day 9: BIRDS OF A FEATHER

Sean and Dennis were the best of friends. Where there was one, there was the other. They dressed similarly, told similar jokes, dated the same type of girls. They’d been that way from eighth grade to this day.

They were birds of a feather.

After college graduation, the guys went to Cancun to celebrate.

As they hung out on their hotel balcony drinking beers, Dennis said, “I’m in love with someone.”

“With who?” Sean asked, surprised.

“You.”

Sean reached for his friend, and in his drunkenness, Dennis stumbled. Off the balcony he went.

A feather swayed down after him.

Note: I am doing a personal challenge to grow consistent in my writing by committing to writing 100 stories in 100 days only using 100 words (or less).

Ha! Yes, ma’am. A feather. I have so many questions too. These 100 words or less make me want to write more. Each story is nothing more than a glimpse of what could be. Love you, and thanks foe reading!
