It was the children’s author’s forty-fifth book.
With less than six months to live, it would be her last. She didn’t want to think about death or the fact that she was dying. How could she inspire children to live their wildest dreams while her candle was quickly fading?
With a little bit of heart and a whole lotta soul. She would do as she always did: write. The right words always found themselves on the page exactly as they should.
She would once again encourage children to spread their wings and fly, as she would soon do.
