Today has been a day.
I left my coffee sitting on the roof of my car this morning. When I shifted to reverse, the cup fell over, bounced off the trunk, clanked against concrete, and rolled into the street.
At work, another round of layoffs was announced. My job was saved, but I had to let two of my employees go.

As the train departs, I look to my right. Graffiti catches my eye.
Life’s what you make it.
Hmmm. You don’t say.
Back in my car, I let that prompting carry me home.
