Miguel stares at a picture of him and his wife at the beach on their honeymoon.
His wife of sixty years passed away a few months ago and Miguel has had trouble coping. His mind has slipped several times. The doctors warned the kids it could be dementia, but his daughter knows he’s just missing the love of his life.
As she tucks her father in bed, Miguel reaches for her hand.
“Don’t forget your bathing suit,” he says. Closing his eyes, he sees palm trees under the bluest sky.
Standing by the trees is his wife waving him over.
